About Blogimore
Apr 3rd, 2007 by Cory
In January 2007, my wife and I moved to Baltimore, MD. I had recently landed a job with Ciena as a web marketing and analytics manager, and they relocated us to “Charm City.” Baltimore certainly had its charms, but it was also gritty. In a moment of frustration and homesickness, I launched Blogimore.com (Baltimore…blogimore….get it? heh heh), tagged as “Life in Baltimore from the perspective of a transplanted Texan.” Of course I had high ambitions initially, but ended up making random, infrequent posts.
After we found out that we’re having a baby, we decided to move back home to Texas. I’m lucky to work for a company that values its employees, so I had no problem arranging to work from home.
So here we are. We are no longer in Baltimore, but I think being a work-from-home dad in Allen, TX should provide some interesting material for a blog. Plus, now that we are back in Bible-thumping, Republican-crazed Texas, my levels of outrage should remain pretty high. I’ve always found anger to be the best motivation for writing.
Blogimore is the flagship of several infrequently updated blogs, including:
- Meaningful Noise - my blog about web analytics
- Jargtastic - business jargon explained, sarcastically
- Reedbaby - the story of our pregnancy
- CoryReed.com - my online marketing and web analytics experience
I hope you enjoy.
