We don’t need nuthin from nobody

A few nights ago we met my aunt and uncle at Babe’s Chicken House for dinner. Babe’s serves fried things (fried chicken, chicken fried steak, fried catfish, and chicken strips) along with a simple iceburg lettuce salad, family-style vegetables and home-made biscuits that I love to drown in sorghum. The wait staff is comprised of trashy, but kind of hot, gum-chewing 19 year old girls that call you sweetie and drop everything to dance the hokey pokey about once every hour. As such, it is one of the classiest restaurants in the area.
Babe’s is located in Garland, the taint of the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex, known more for meth labs and monster trucks than Rhodes Scholars and open minds. So, you can imagine my surprise when I saw a Suburban parked near the entrance with a bumper sticker reading “Get us out….” How novel! I thought. A Suburban-driving war protester!.

However, my delight was short-lived. Upon closer examination, the subtext of the sticker read “…of the United Nations.”
Oh that’s right, I forgot that cooperating with our global neighbors and striving to treat all of humanity with respect is a threat to American sovereignty. If Jesus loved those people more, he would have let them be born in United States. Eff yeah! Oh well. At least I can rest comfortably in the knowledge that it costs this jackass $100 to fill up his gas tank.

Don’t you forgit that “Texas is bigger than France.”
One of these days rednecks are going to get wise to right-wingers exploiting them and go on a rampage. I predict widespread looting of personalized leather goods shops.
i actually heard someone say ‘ROGUE scholar’ the other day. ok, it was my dad, but i didn’t bother correcting him. i told myself i misheard because of the cell phone reception.
and, real nice sticker. you know, i think you should show the guy’s tag number. c’mon, man, grow a set. and by set, i mean one of these http://www.bumpernuts.com/
